My bad on the size vs displacement.....thanks for the correction

As far as what an ls1 makes ...um a shitload, they have forged pistons & crank and 6 bolt mains....personally mine was dynoed at 428rwhp with just heads, cam, and exhaust no other internal modification. 2 GT35's on the way Plus you can add a 125 shot of nitrous straight on it and the engine computer will compensate itself ,if thats your thing. I have a friend that has one with 2 t3/t4 hybrids and puts down just short of 675rwhp with no internal changes except cam and springs. Point is you can discuss if the ls1 should be in a 7 or not but you can't argue the shoutness of the motor itself it. Besides guys with 400+ rotary engines aren't running stock turbos, exhaust, apex seals ect....Trust me I also have an 87TII. I made the swap for a challenge and to have something new and different. I enjoy the torque and hp down low but i miss the high revs of the rotary. Point is with the torque and gearing of the 7's rearend the LS1 will kick *** of the line...up high is where the competition is. I also ask the people here to refrain from major judgements on the ls-1 vs rotary debate until you have driven and enjoyed both...then compare and decide for yourself. Personally I choose to have both

OOPS! My co-worker with the LS-1 Firehawk just threw a rod. I believe this setup lasted him 6-8 months.

So much for LS-1's being bulletproof. Too bad, I wanted to race him too. He had a 250 shot of NOS and ran 10.7's. I wanted to race him with and without nos and see how bad he really is.

nothing is going to last very long with a 250shot, thats just common sense.

BIG difference in the amount of fuel you have to run with 125 and 250 hp shot.....and do it safely plus that put him in the neighborhood of 585hp assuming nothing else was done to the car. I am curious...has he put a chip on his car or advanced the timing?

I never said bulletproof no car is . I would like to see you but a 250hp shot on yours....

Besides, its just a rod it can be fixed realitively painlessly...(depending of course)
