Only after a certain year. I dunno about the 'Vettes but 98 was the year the LS1 started going in the F-bodies.

yup... first few years of the C5s had the LS1, then they went to the LS2. The later Z06s got the LS6 i believe.
I have a LS1 block with LS6 heads and intake...plus some other mods.
