i'll be short and sweet cause i have to brag to someone. i just dusted off an 05 GSX1000R with extreme prejudice! i was rollin through town (on lunch) and dude races up on me with his liter bike thinkin he's the hot **** on the road. he gives my little flat-black 600 a crude look and revs up to take off...screw that! i had already downed to 2nd and was waitin on him. i nail it and ride the front wheel about 6in off the ground through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. by 5th and 6th i was just showin off by extending my lead on him.





now i know some are feelin a little confused...

top end is 132ish mph SLOW!! i have 15t and 45t sprockets waitin to install since 130's sux for cruises. the new setup might set me back a 10th of a sec or 2 but it'll give me 150's top end.

i never got to talk to him cause guys on liter bikes get a little butt-hurt when a 6 gets them. he gave me a nice blow-by at 150ish after i tapped the brakes. granted, i know and bike guys know that i will get my *** stomped if i run him again on a longer stretch of road or from highway speeds





i'm still happy my 6 got a liter bike

wow that is awesome I was lookin at gettin a ninja 250 r or 500 to learn on so i don't kill myself on the superfast 600's and 1000's I mean these motorcycles are crazy fast and you just proved it to everyone 135ish that is really fast and I bet it was only a couple of seconds to get up that high...

135ish isn't that quick when you are on a bike....but yeah its fast in the grand picture. my new gears get me up to 154-5 (bounce at redline) and i can tell i'm not acceling as fast as before. but its still the biggest rush ever!



before i can clear a single block (light to light) i'm over 110-120 usually. thats ridin' the front tire 6in off the ground most of the way. just hope there's no traffic ahead!!



sprockets make a huge difference. put it this way: my beater 91 celica st (5sp) can beat up on my friends sentra ser all day. he has mods and i don't (well i don't have muffler and i don't have any intake/filter). my car is lighter and has shorter gear ratios. my 5th gear tops out at 120 even....and his will probly take him to 150+. my car is lighter too and i don't have flashy rims....just steelies.



lighter and shorter gears will make you accel quicker than stock. by no means could i take a gsxr1000 on the highway. but at the strip i'm sure i could make the rider poop their pants.

haha yeah that's awesome.. I knew that 135 isn't that fast but I was just thinkin how fast you can accelerate to that speed... What's the gixxer's top speed?

wow thats nice.... i have an 04 600RR all stock just a nice slip on thats all... and i love my bike.... i never tried racing other bikes other then thoughs big V-twin ******* that think ther tight juss because ther ducati cost more.... but i just drive mine for funn and riding wheallies..... and mine tops out at 175 ish....with about 500 more RPm's togo but just cant get it to roll past it....



i think i might have ta change my gears around an get a better chain too...

GSX-R guys think they are the ****. I know, I have 3 friends of mine that are Gixxer guys, and they give me **** for liking Yamaha's and Honda's. I like the Suzuki's, but they are just a little too agressive for my kind of street riding.







I'm getting a Yamaha R6......not an 06 though, not enough money for that. I'm looking for a 99-03. I also am getting a 00 CBR 600 F4i for the wife.

well with the '05 gsxr making more power than my supercharged mr2 factory, i dont blame them for thinking they are hot ****... the day im stupid enough to take one of those for a fang, is the day i see god... and im not talking about upstairs
