Someone on the other board was saying that titanium is a memory metal--meaning that if you bend it, it will eventually bend back. That's why I think they welded it 9999999 times. Hehe.

well, its incredibly hard to bend too, its really really strong. so they found it to be more cost effective to just cut and weld.
