What a blast!! I want one now. I was amazed at how well this 20+ year old car with its stock suspension handled.

Here are a couple pics of it.

94Touring in a few months I will be looking for one again. I told my wife when I got home last night after driving it I want one. And with gas prices the way they are it just might end up being my DD.

the closest thing ive driven to that is a bugeye sprite, that thing was uncatchable in like a point a to point b situation. even though it really wasnt fast, or stop or turn all that well. its so small and light it would just run away from anything, the mini is the same i bet

plus it being an lbc, you'll get all the thumbs up and the "hey thats a cool car!"

Old ones are quite a bit smaller.

I like the Honda swaps @ Go Mini

Oh cool Jim! Hey my buddy Pete that lived in Orlando still has his rally mini for sale, lolcated in PA. I saw the car first hand when it was in Orlando and was very close to buying it over this FD that i'm getting. It would be the perfect auto-x car and still streetable. A little pricey at 16k but probably has twice that invested into the thing. It would smoke hondas all day long too.

Size difference.

If you're doing any kind of racing, the one thing that will make the biggest difference to handling and speed is weight reduction - the mini is a great example.

Those Honda mini's are cool, over here I have seen loads of bike engined mini's, my favourite are the z-cars r1: http://www.zcars.org.uk/mini/mini_single_rl.htm. The other mini that comes to mind is the rover v8 engined one: http://www.geocities.com/jharkola/Viku2.html, the reason I remember this is because it all fits under the bonnet so easily - got me thinking !

Jim- was this the first time you've been in one or driven one?

The old mini's are truely bad ***. I saw one the one night at a book store. It was fully caged, right hand drive and sporting a set of big 10 in rims.

I would like to get one
