A glow plug is what a diesel has instead of spark plug.

Instead of igniting the fuel air mixture, they are used to warm up the combustion chamber so that the diesel fuel mix can be compressed and than ignited.

When you start a diesel, you turn it to the on position and a little yellow light pops on, thats the glow plug warm up sequence. Once it turns off, you may now proceed to start the vehicle. When the light turns off, the plugs turn off, the diesel runs off compression cause thats what it does.

Now all i need to know is where they bloody are and how to take out the old ones and how to put the new ones in without ******* **** up!
