Probably the two best aeronatical schools in the country are Spartan or Embry Riddle. I think that Spartan has a better program. Plus I can't remember if its Embry or one of the other well known schools in Florida, you don't even start flying till about 2 years into the program. The pilots i've talked to all say that Spartan with its reputation to produce good pilots defenitly gives an edge in interviews. Just my 2 cents though.

learning on a 152?
I'm getting my PPL currently in a 172....then it's off to Laughlin AFB for SUPT. I'm suprised at how many pilots and students are on the rotary forums that I've just run into lately. Weather is kicking *** on my progress though...
nice truck - good luck with it

Were those the flight students or the mechanic students? I know that Spartan is really strict when they accept flight students, it was obvious by the process I had to go through and the people I fly with. But the North campus with the mechanic students kinda scares me to think these guys are gona be working on my plane someday.

Yeah i'm stuck in a 152 for my private, then I upgrade to a 172 and the seminole for my instrument and commerical. We're actually in the process of buying a bunch of new twin engine planes too, so more twin engine time is always a plus.
