Jesus, where do I start. Couldn't get the dual carbs working right, so I pulled the dual carbs, installed the single carb, redid the throttle cable and choke cable. Couldn't get it started unless I sprayed starter fluid. Pour fuel into the float bowl and it would run for 30 seconds or so before dying. Figured the mechanical fuel pump had died, so I picked up an electric pump today. Installed the pump, but the damn thing wouldn't draw fuel from the tank. If I ran a line into my gas can it would work just fine. Finally came to the conclusion my gas tank has a clogged strainer. Guess I get to figure out how to work on the gas tank now Still need to clean up a bunch of wires and get the thing tuned in once I get it running. I swear i've traced problems all the way from the ignition switch clear to the gas tank now, it never ceases to amaze me!

Thanks, I wish it ran as good as it looks. When it runs it sounds pretty mean. I was so disapointed today after realizing the gas tank is clogged. Clogged fuel filter sure, but clogged gas tank...get the **** out!! I just want to drive it some more

That truck looks great!! Now if it only ran great.

Look at the bright side, once you replace the entire fuel system and eleictrical system it SHOULD run fine.......

Haha, no ****. Ya know the truck was restored already, and I think i've done more restoration than the guy who originally did it. Sucks not having a garage, its cold as ***** outside and I really don't feel like having to slide back under the truck to fiddle with the gas tank.
