The 6s are all right, but not really my style. They're a bit too big for me. Fast cars im sure, but not my flava. I'm more of a 6th gen celica man myself (the body style with the four headlights). The thing's I'd do for a GT-four...

I just bought a new DD last month.. 97 Nissan 200sx SE-R. It's a great handling car with good power, great gas mileage, reliable drivetrain with a ton of aftermarket support, VLSD, looks good, and the price was right for me.. $6500 with 59k miles.

The Tempo will be an *** kicking track-only machine in a few months. A few days ago the ENTIRE exhaust fell off excluding the pre-cat (still hanging on somehow) so this is the last straw. The car is no longer streetable. My biggest problem is the front axle which is about to snap so it feels like. My plan is to gut the entire car, drop in a racing seat, a manual NASCAR style 4 speed tranny, a full roll cage, a sophisticated track-only suspension, some wide as **** 16 inchers, and maybe drop the comression on a newly built engine and add a turbo. WOW, I'm drooling.

You're a jackass.

Yeah, I'm jealous.

You should turn it into a rally car and race my Subaru.

I never found the Celica GT-Four to be that fast a car, same engine as the mr2 turbo.

Probably one of the fastest fwd cars i have seen is a mitsubishi fto running a 450bhp evo V engine

(ftos are slow as old horses in standard form)

I had a vision, LOL. The car looks like crap now and I won't drive it anymore for fear of death. It'll take time but once it's finished, it'll be da bomb Jose, I mean Ed.

Charlie Boy, I'm glad someone agrees with me on the FTO. I hate that car!

Stay away from FWD cars if you want to make it fast it will cost you lots of money. Launching a FWD car is a lot harder compared to AWD & RWD. If I were you I would get an AWD car easier to launch even with inexperience racer. If you are on a budget get a Eclipse GSX 90-98 the price range from $3,000- $13,000. AWD car doesn't need much Horse Power to achieve good 1/4 mile times. Highway race on the other hand is different some AWD cars sucks on this area.
