I gotta say its a great thing working at a high end car dealership. Yesterday we got a 2002 Carrera (993) and a 2002 Carrera4 (996). The 993 was a 6 speed and the 996 was an auto. I must say I was quite impressed with the auto 996 after driving it. The Porsche tiptronic trans is very nice, much better then the new setup Mercedes offers on the AMG cars. The 993 6 speed was more of a drivers car though. Much more agressive since its only rear wheel drive. I didn't like the clutch, it didn't engage until the last 2-3 inches and the pedal is very soft.

Overall I was quite impressed with the power. They are both N/A motors with very wide, smooth, responsive powerbands. Let me tell you Honda Vtec ain't got **** on Porsche Vtec. At 5000 rpm that bitch opens up and screams hard to redline.

In my opinion not really worth $65k for the 993 and $75k for the 996, but both are damn nice cars. I prefer my turbo 1.3L

Now a 996 twin turbo is a different story, but I havent gotten to drive one of those yet.

One of our customers stopped by to show us her new toy, a brand new 2003 Bentley Azure Mulliner. 1 of 35 made worldwide. Hers was #34. Very nice but for $415,000...no thanks. Everything is hand made, and she waited 6 months for it. Seats are so goddamn comfortable, leather and wood everything. I've never felt leather so smooth. 6.8L V-8 turbo= insane torque and power

And last but not least. We do some work for a company that imports cars from europe and legalizes them for use in america. They bring us all the mercedes they certify becuase they do not have access to the equipment to program the ECU to U.S. standards. Anyway...They brought a silver 2003 Porsche GT2. I told the guy I'd give him $50 for a ride, but he said no. Let me tell you that is one of the baddest ******* cars I've ever seen. FACTORY roll cage, Ceramic brakes, Carbon Fiber racing seats, and 500 hp. INSANE. If I had $200k to blow on a car, Hands down this would be it.

There was a GT2 at the golf course i work at last week.

I shat my pants, and oogled over it in the parkinglot for about 20 min.

Very nice looking car.

I saw a GT2 outside the factory dealership in Stuttgart last year. It was used, so it had to sit outside!

Still the most expensive car there, 140,000 Euros.

I also drove a Carrera this weekend. It was a droptop.

My friend (it was his dad's car) was like, dude you have to drop it into second (I was doing like 60 in 3rd) to feel the acceleration.

Needless to say it was damn impressive.
