Ok, as you all know I love my Wrangler, but I am getting bored with the every day driving. I can always buy an older wrangler(CJ-7!) later in life.

Can't deicide on a new STi or a new Lancer EVO IX. I can get the EVO IX at invoice plus whatever rebates they run. I LOVE the looks of the IX, but the choice of the 2.5L boxer engine is really cool! I would be leasing the car also, to get rid of my negative equity. Yeah, I know, can't modify, but that's why man made wrenches. I would only consider small things, cat back, intake, BC, etc.

I am going to go drive an EVO IX tomorrow at our sister dealership, and driving an STi at a dealership is next to impossible. They are real ****** about that. I have seen the new 06 STi and IX at the auto show, and I liked the interior more on the IX than the Subie. Plus the IX was alot more comfortable. The subie felt really cramped, not alot of room.

UGH!!! What are y'alls opinions? I am going to research more on reliability, skid pads, cod, etc.

Well, it looks like I am going used now. Can pick up an 04 STi from carmax for 28k. Unless our sister dealership can get me around to 29k with my jeep, I am set!

evo...not to mention the catback, intake and a nice ecu reflash will get you really good pwoer on stock turbo. (300+ at the wheels)...but the subie usually maxes out around 300 on stock turbo..atleast the older ones, i don't knwo if they changed anything for the new year.

Hmmm, not doing anything until they release crash test ratings for both vehicles. Insurance is at 358 a month for me, with the Jeep, it is only at 250 a month. And insurance for the subie was close to 450.
