Even the SUV's are kinda shitty now. The Envoy is supposed to be real cheap feeling, and how many recalls has the Ford Escape had? Ford Expedition was pretty nice to drive, but way too much gas.
the escape/tributes are amazingly bad they had 3+ recalls before the cars were even shipped. plus they break as much as an fd on a bad day

even hondas aren't put together as nice as they used to.

My family has owened

92 Accord EXR (very nice)

94 LX base (no power nothing, build was decent, handled better then 92, and lighter)

2002 special edition (brakes suck, abs sucks, too much body roll, power everything so that is kinda nice)

i would say 94 the quality was falilng from the 92.

the 2002... i would put it just slightly above a taurus.

It isn't great. Lots of stuff have the made in mexico feel to it.

The best quality for buck i would say are nissan altima or some volksvagon, bettle no included... the gaps don't look right.

BTW when i play with my rx7... i'm in awe that even stupid plastic ***** are stamped with japan.

WOW

I agree, Cheers!. My dad used to have a 92 Civic, and that thing held up great with 150K or so on it. Now, he has an '00 that sounds like it's falling apart with 50K on the ticker.

Don't get a PT Cruiser TYSON, it's essentially a bigger fuglier Neon. If you want a good family car with some pep and luxury, get a 300M!!!

They're not a Neon. That was the rumour way back when, but I don't believe they share any components. Although the SRT-4 and PT Turbo now have the same engine.

I would never buy a 300M. It is still an Intrepid, with 50 more hp and stiffer suspension. It's still an 18 foot barge with an $18,000 premium over the Intrepid.

Hmm, 215 (underrated) hp turbocharged, manual tranny small car for $28,800, or 250 hp, slush box pseudo-luxo barge for $45,500. I can get a Mercedes C230 Kompressor sport sedan and save a few thousand $$$ and end up with higher resale.

At least you didn't say the Pacifica
