one more thing, those numbers next to the mustangs, are they 1/4 times? Because if a 99 GT is running 14.1's stock that means it is beating out 2001 Type-r's and 90% of other cars on the road, which it so isn't. GT's run 15+'s stock. The major challenging mustang is the '03 SVT Cobra running 13.1's and the mach1 running 14.0's.
My friend had an overly modded 5.0, fox body style, that had a fastest run of 14.0, so i don't see a stock one pulling that.
Of course it does depend on what year rx-7 you're looking at:
93 Twin Turbo- 13.9
90 Turbo - 14.9
87 GXL - 16.1
So say you throw a 93 up against a fox body style 5.0 (trying to keep cars years number as close as possible) and keep them both stock the rx-7 should have the edge.
then of course you have to factor in the driver, the racetrack, the weather, and a whole load of things .
