No I dont think that is it. I think the people where I live spend their money on cars with more potential. Theirs an NSX that has started to show up at the track with a heavily modded Vtec and a freaking awesome body kit that is handing everyone their ass. Theirs about 20 z06's that also kick everyones butt...and many other cars that cost almost the same but are more useful at the track. An M3 is not a race car. Its just a beefed up BMW where the owners can brag about what they have under the hood.

people use m3's for auto-x usually, definitly not a straight line car.

wait track... nevermind.... i know there are a lot that do it though, not saying other cars would be faster.
