So I finally took the time to find out what's going on with my brakes. Turns out my hunch was right--leaky wheel cylinder. Little did I know that I would have to pull the axle shaft and remove the hub/drum as an assembly. Truck is a 1985 Chevrolet C30 Silverado Big Dooley with what I think is a Dana 70 rear axle.

Guess I'll replace the bearings while I'm in there. It's not like I really want to wrestle with this thing again anytime soon.

It's a 350 gas engine. Pretty slow to get only 10 mpg, but hey, it's a truck! Whether I'm hauling or towing, it gets the job done.

Here's a pic of the hub and drum after I got it put back together. That thing must weigh 80 lbs!
