Any takers on this?
|

Man **** with that ACCORD!!! NICE!! |
LS6 in a Volvo wagon. Yeah, I'm weird.
|
Jag XKE in a morgan roadster was something I always thought would be a lot of fun. . .. .
|
[QUOTE]LS6 in a Volvo wagon. Yeah, I'm weird.
[QUOTE]< I can tell you a 5.0 fuel injected ford is a very easy swap in those cars. |
I wonder what happened to that MX-6 with the big block, tube frame, narrowed rear, fiberglass body???
|
13B in a Suzuki Sidekick? Nahh been there done that.
The ultimate car is of course a Porsche. So how about a Subaru Turbo 4 or 6 in a 911/930 Porsche (2100 lbs of terror). |
12cyl Rolls-Merlin(P51 mustang engine)in a '38/39 Chev/Ford/GMC cabover truck. Once saw one in a semitruck(cab part/tractor only), at a drag strip. It had NOS, 10 tires, threw two foot flames from all 12 stacks and was even fast down the strip. With a good turbo set up your looking at 2000 to 3000hp!:-)
|
Mmmmmmm..........Hemi
Mmmmmmm..........Talon Awwww man!! No AWD?? |
LS6 motor, in a classic lieghtweight car, like the 74 corolla, or the r100, maybe the datsun 510.
|
A supercharged 4-rotor, rear-engine, AWD Lotus Espirit.
Or...an early 1960's Aston Martin Volante powered by a Viper V-10, rear or mid-engine. (Old James Bond Car https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR Or...Acura NSX with a tri-turbo 20B. |
A Lotus Seven with a 13B TT
|
454 6 pack in a shopping cart with slicks
|
How about an L88 in a Mini?

|
miata with a 20b and a 6spd
ford cortina with a 13bt 1966 ferrari gto w/ 26b.........damn that would rock and finally my all time wet dream would be a shelby cobra replica car with a 20b turbo |
damn man thats Sacrilege there!!!
Thats like putting a honda B16a2 into an FD!!! |
Just think about it 427 Cubic Inches of 60's horsepower and torque!
550-600 Straight from Chevy!! Back in 67!!! I would race a mini with that L88 in it against your shopping cart! Lol should we race to the grocery store??? |
you might think its sacrilege but if you think about it that huge 427 makes the cobra front heavy but a 20b would lighten it up and let it rev much higher which for road racing ( which is what the cobra was designed for ) would be much better but its just a dream
|
One of these days I WILL buy one of those 32 Ford Vicki fiberglass kits and put a rotary in it. Just a matter of when https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
Rotary in a VW Bus. Hrmmm... |
No argument over that......
It would be pretty cool.... but you also forgetting that the 427 is what makes the cobra so great... Not until recently did a car finally beat it! It took 30 years for a car to beat it! the car that beat it? Viper GTS-R 0-100-0 barely just barely knocked it out. The torque in these cars is unbelievable! A mechanic I use to know had built a replica of one and he had it pushing right arounf 570 something at the wheels. It has been a while but he took me for a ride once. Almost any gear puts you back in the seat. His 5th gear felt more like my 1st or 2nd in my stang! lol But it would be sweet!! lol if ya do it build a replica of one!!! lol Though for the price I doubt you could find a real one.... lol but if ya going to go rotary why not the 26b? lol HELL YEAH!!! Got to love those high rpm screamers.. I hate red lining right around 6k right now.... I love being in the high rpms I love slamming it into the next gear winding it out to 7-8k and then shifting again!! |
I'd take a ******* blown Hemi Big block stuff it in to a Del Sol and make it real weel drive. I'd probably shoot too. Mabye 250 shot. That would get it pumping.
|
How about the V8 from the 360 Modena in an FD. Theres a real V8 swap. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif
|
ill take the LS1 with the porsche trans in the ultima gt. Or maybe just a stock mclaren f1
|
Or maybe something a bit milder....
like an SHO 3.4 V8 supercharged in a Probe or late model MX6... Or an SHO 3.4 V8 in a Contour! Hey either of those would be pretty damn fast! I had thought about trying to put one of those into my 2.3 stang!! But it is most likely too costly! |
how about a 502 rat in a 2 door metro or a yugo??
|
Shane there is a guy here in st.louis running a GM 502 Crate motor in a yellow 2 door Metro.....
|
How about twin big block 454's in a gutted full size yellow school bus that runs a 12.6 1/4 pulling a wheely the whole way down the strip? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png
|
well...i know of MG Midgets with 12a's here in nz...and yes, they beat most things around a tight track https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
for me, i would have to say a lotus 7 styles kit car with a highly tuned 13b in it...like 500hp, nice and light...and that would out accelerate everything on the road - the good ones only weigh 400kgs (like 1000lbs) with a **** toyota 4age in them...and the catherham ones with 200hp go from 0-60 in like 3.5seconds, and 0-60-0 faster than ferrari f40's... the scary thing is that i think im going to be finding myself making one of these... In australia theres one of these kit cars with a s2000 engine that easily beats all the racing porsches.... |
