All Rotor-heads Need To Help A Bro.

The 92 NSXs have 270 hp at the crank. You should'nt be too far off from him. The real question is what mods do you have done to your car? I work at an Acura dealership and was a Honda-head, and I'll say NSXs are not straight line fast. At least not $90,000 straight line fast. I think an intake, exhaust, turbo manifold, flywheel, and clutch should put you there. And more boost and a street port couldn't hurt.

The NSX is not blistering fast, its a quick rare car that looks like it is very fast, the car is a awesome on the track, but defintly not much to talk about as far a straight line performance for the hefty price tag. The 92 isn't even all that fast with some of the mods the guys have mentioned you should beat him.

ok, i don't want to sound like a **** head or anything...
but the way i see it..the NSX can't be all that fast.. given of course, if it's a 3.0L one (pre-97 i think?). lets strip it down and take a nice long look at the car. i belive that car has around the same acceleration capabilities as the FD. maybe just a bit above.
now we all know, Honda lovers praise the NSX talking about how "lightweight" it is. truth is, the Honda is lightweight, and the Acura is actually quite pudgy. it weighs in at over 3100lb curb weight. but wait, wouldn't this mean it's power to weight ratio wouldn't be as good as an FD? yup, exactly. and isn't the FC around the same curb weight as the FD? yup, i'm pretty sure it is.
as for the FC taking an NSX...it can be done. just get a turbo upgrade and supporting mods and that NSX will not pose a threat..unless of course, he's got turbo as well
