Swap in an RB26DETT
Ohh Yeeeaaaahh. If the sr20det wasn't enough put that in!!
I was the one who brought that up because a kid at my school claims he is going to do it! Whatever! Waste f time. In my opinion..."If you want a fast car... Buy a freaking fast car!!

Not everyone wants to just go out and buy something that's fast out of the box; some people enjoy "making pigs fly" so to speak.

the rb26dett isn't a direct bolt-in it requires ALOT of custom work, custom manifolds, have to move steering column, Mounts. its about equal to putting a 20b ito a fd35. not to mention since the skyline is all the "RAGE" the engines demand a premium price. Know i have heard of a rb20dett from an r32 skyline being put into a 240 and the rb20 is supposed to respond to mods better.

Yeah it's a lot of work, but I guess for some the results are worth it. The RB20DET is a good engine, you can get close to 400hp without opening it up. And it's easier to fit than the RB26DETT.
However it is the same displacement as the SR20DET so wouldn't have that much advantage. It can probably rev higher.
