yeah VW gave up the ghost on the Corrado because it was, arguably, getting expensive on the retail side and people stopped buying them.

the Scirocco is a great car. i love them and i really doubt if you'll be sorry you bought one.

those are fun little cars. the recaro seats in it are also pretty nice too.

does yours have an lsd? some of the jettas of that era came stock with an lsd, like my friends 89 GLI has.

I'm not sure about the differential because I didn't drive it hard enough to break traction in a turn. It also didn't exactly have enough power to justify an LSD in my opinion, or at least not for a grocery getter. Now I need to drive a Corrado G60 or VR6 and compare the two.

i wouldnt go with the vr6 over the g60, its heavier, more expensive to do simple upgrades, handles worse, and is more expensive to buy.

That is pretty much the consensus over at vwvortex. The only bad thing about the corrado vs. scirocco is that it weighs 2500-2600 lbs where the scirocco is 2100-2200.

I think that the Corrado along with the Opel Astra is one of the baddest hatchbacks ever made.

some of you guys have no clue how much fun a VR6 is to drive. that is the torque-iest mother ****** in a small package. There are days where I wish I kept my corrado, and just took a loan out in full for my FD, so I would have both. aThe scirocco is a good car too though. with some mods it would scream.

a magazine company (forgot which) did a comparison between two golfs, one 1.8T and one VR6. each had like 2K total spent on it, and the 1.8T beat it in every way.

p.s. get a fox.
