Like the title says it is open. For those of you who dont know windy ridge is the farthest point up on Mnt. St Helens that you can drive. It is also on the back side of the mountain wich means compared to the johnston obsevotory its farther to drive, has narrower, twistier roads, & less traffic all big pluses. also the end piont is not as devoloped as johnston ridge. its basically a parking lot. Any way if you decide to go up there be carefull the roads are very unforgiving, no gaurd rails, lots of cliffs, and rock walls. Also PLEASE watch out for Motorcycles My third friend was killed up there on the fourth of July.
