IRDC Competition Driving School 3/10 at PR

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those that have ever thought about trying autoracing but didn't know where to start, or if you've been excited to read and hear the stories about PRO-3, or if you have been lapping with clubs for a while and want to take your skills to the next level - this is it. IRDC (Int'l Race Drivers Club) is holding their first of two Competition Driving Schools on March 10th at Pacific Raceway. A short evening ground school followed by a full day of driving at the track, completion of this course will provide you the Certificate you need to apply for your ICSCC Novice License and then GO RACING!! Intimidated? Don't be. The driving program is not that different from our own HPDE days, they just cover more safety related issues than we do, and they spend much more time talking about the do's and don'ts of autoracing. Even if you never take a green flag start, I promise that you will have a greater appreciation just watching autoracing on Television after completing this course.

And IRDC has two lapping groups as part of the day, so if you are a track junkie and want some early spring seat-time, this is available as well. It is a low-key, relaxed format, geared for those that have experience at the track and are looking to get a jump start on the driving season.

Registration can be found at www.irdc-racing.com. It's a great program, a great way to get started in racing, and you won't be dissapointed.

Hmm...looks interesting, $250 for the school at Pacific Raceway

Yearly club fees $60 and a racers license is $75

It does set you up to be able to race at several local tracks for REAL racing. - http://www.icscc.com/schedule.html
