Between 2:30 and 4:00 pm yesterday while my friend's home was unoccupied someone broke into his shop to get to his car. He has a show car some of you may have seen at the local shows. It's a Candy Red 2001 Chevy Cavalier with 19" Foose wheels and airride suspension. They got into his car and took his Kenwood indash DVD player (f***ed up his dash i the process), his two Coustic amps custom painted to match his car, and two Audiobahn 1 farad polished capacitors. They tried to take his entire fiberglass box with 4 12"s in it but it is molded to fit where the backseat should be and is not coming out. They f***ed that up too tryin to wedge it out the door with the speakers still i it. Looks like they heard someone coming and left in a hurry and were on foot (easy to escape into the woods). No evidence any vehicles were there and with how much sh*t is there in his shop they coulda made off with more than the $4,000 of stereo equipment they got if they had a vehicle. If you see/know/hear of anyone selling any of this let me know. With the remote location of his house it HAS to be someone we know or a neighbor and that someone needs to pay

Here's some pics from last summer and HIN 2006.

HIN is Hot Import Nights but they have many classes for all cars, including domestic cars. This car won Best Domestic at HIN 2005 with his old stereo. This year, nothing.

BTW he's not a ricer at all. Doesn't race, or even speed for that matter! This car is no longer driven. His other car is a former show car he bought that he daily drives. He has over $30k into this car!! Show me a ricer that has that much money into their car or even makes that much money per year!!

Ricers don't have money! That's why they are ricers cuz everything is slow and ghetto-rigged...

So if money makes a ricer me making $60+ thousand a year make me a ricer in my FD???

Any imitation of a performance part is what defines rice. Rice is when you make your car look fast with obnoxious modifications that do nothing for performance. Weather it be a APC intake or "euro" tail lights it's all the same. If you change your tail lights for any reason wother than to increase performance your a ricer. Big body kits that mimmic actual body kits that are areodynamically effective are gay.

So you are telling me that anyone who puts 99spec tails on a 93-95 FD is a ricer? Intereseting.... I'm not sure how changing tails would ever increase performance unless they weigh less, but that's not much weight loss at all! And I guess every person who builds a show car with a body kit is a ricer as well?

I doubt I'll hear anything and last time anyone tried to sell me a stereo from the back of a van was two or three years ago ("We have extra stock and my boss told me to sell it on the street" my ***). What happened is a damn shame but man, it's a cavalier...
