ok, they used have this as their traffic law enforcement car.

Ford Crown Victoria

4.6L V8

224hp/275lb-ft

4 speed automatic

curb weight: 3,946 lb

towing capacity: 1,500 lbs

0-60mph: 8.6 seconds

1/4 mile: 16.3 seconds

and now they have this...(cops actually requested for something faster than a Crown Victoria)

Subaru Legacy GT

2.5L Flat-4 Intercooled Turbo

250hp/250lb-ft

5speed auto with sport-shift

curb weight: 3,365 lbs

towing capacity: 2,700 lbs

0-60mph: 5.7 seconds

1/4 mile: 14.1 seconds

heh, and yet, i dont see seattle cops pulling ANYBODY over =)

one nice thing about living in this town, the cops actually seem to believe they have more important things to do than hand out tickets. of course, it could just be that the traffic keeps us all from driving more than 15 mph on the freeway

Good luck getting a ticket in Seattle. I drove by a motorcycle cop going 60 in a 30 2 days ago and he shook his head... BTW that's a king county sheriff. Seattle cops wear blue.

god allmighty seattle having his isnt bad, but i hope it doesnt become a trend everywhere else. LIKE KENT... that would be horrific. Did the seattle PD get just one car or did they buy a fleet of them?
