So after work today I am goin to pick up a 1970 toyota corona. Pretty sweet lookin car, straight, good chrome and glass, but the motor sux ***. 18RC, not even cross flow head, about 77hp... Heres whats makin my smile, street ported 12A with side draft, 5spd, and various other mazda and yota parts at home to throw at it. Gonna try and start it tonight, ill try and post some pics and maby have it at PIR before the season is over.

You know that there is a local corona with a rotary in it? They might be able to help you out. Either way you are right a corona always makes me smile.

I didnt know anybody around the NW has done this, could only find a few and most were in austrailia. Does this guy come to this board?



And yes, Coronas are good. The cars are pretty cool too...

hell yeah.... and it HOT..... very nicely built red Corona..... It belongs to a friends pop..... its in burien.... and they are definitely the "help you out " type of folks.... good people.... Guanaco on the Forum.... but hes not on nopistons.....



That car was my dream car since i was like 16.... good luck with the project.... im jealous. i wont lie
