All you need to do is mod the spring inside. Let me know if you want it done. I can do it for $50 including the afm.

There are tons of things we can do for this, but they all require money and thats what we don't have after getting this. (we would also like 4 matching tires before too much more also~) Plus it looks like if we do that we will have to get a new airfilter as well since the outlet size is different on the s4fc one than the na one, and it only helps at the top end of the rpm curve where we rarely ever drive it. This car is having a different approach to things, looking for good handling then power.

It helps across the whoe rpm range. and you can strech the filter i've done it. and it allready handles good. POWER!! LOL! Let me know when you need anything I cn get you parts for really cheap.

Its like 4-6rwhp gained. Also seems to be a little more than just a quick adjustment to the spring. Too tight and you will get knocking, too loose and you will have a crappy idle. Adjust it to where it "feels right" and you can actually lose hp due to it being the wrong air/fuel mixture. Its been talked to death on the miata.net forums. I'll probably do it eventually, but its not high on my to-do list since the car runs fine right now.

It might already handle "good" but its also an older car so I want it to handle better.

All being said if you find a working s4fc afm for free give it to me, otherwise its happening later after it will pass tech for an autocross, better tires, and an alarm.

you know KompressorLogic is bound to have a few s4 AFMs just hanging around. Maybe he can even hook you up considering he hasn't had use for a na AFM on his turbo conversions.

on a side note the car is cool, but what i dont get is WHY does the intake run right next to the exhuast... seems like a hardcore hot air intake to me haha
