It's been sitting in a feild for about 5 years. It's in pretty good shape still though. Both rotors seem to have good compression. I haven't tried to fire it yet, but will before the day's done. The only bad, so far, is an empty radiator, and the guy said it smoked pretty bad when he started it. Worse case, it needs rebuilt, but even if, I think I got a decent deal.

Ok, here's the story. I filled the radiator, and it took a LOT of water. Then it drained down, so I filled it again, and it stayed full this time. I decided to try to fire it, and started going through the basics before I tried. When I pulled the dipstick to check the oil, oil and water started flowing out of the dipstick tube. so, without the car running, the water is going from the radiator, directly into the block. why?

My guess is that there is a leak where the water flows through the coolant passages. How quickly does it drain? I had a cracked center iron with my engine. If you go to the teardown thread you can see a picture. Or one of the coolat seals went bad...Either way you will probably need a rebuild. But for 250 that is a steal of a deal. Any rust?

id guess if the outter coolant seal was blown at the bottom of the motor, and the inner one was OK, then that might allow water to get in the oil pan

check the intake manifold coolant o-rings before you go tearing it apart , if they are toast and thats the problem your looking at a rebuild anyway, but at least you know.
