Well i'm now thinking about buying a rebuilt engine from Speed Machine. It will be the Stage II Engine with all the engine options. What do you guys think?

 

Nothing wrong with that. I just like the idea of knowing what went into the build.

If you got the money, the product is good, and more importantly warrantied, then I see no reason not to go that route... Other than being lazy LOL!

 

Well that is why im asking if Speed Machine is a good choice. For example they will add the parts and do the work they say they will. I just can't take time off work and haul *** up and down washington countless times to rebuild an engine.

 

Eh i was being sarcastic about the lazyness. I will still have parts of an engine to tear apart and later put back together. In the mean time i hope to work on the body a bit more.

 

Well a decision will be made tonight. BTW who was the guy that had connections with a press. I'd like to press some holes in my hood for da v-mount.

i've never dealt with speed machine. so i can't vouch for them. i would suggest to take it to Lopi at Import Auto myself. how ever it works out... hope to see you around again....

 

all i know is the guy from there who was on pinks was an ******* to greg and I... I wouldn't spend a penny there. **** you can rebuild an engine in a sunday. just have to get all the parts together and slap it all together and have it running in a day...

 

buy the parts and do it right yourself if you have the resources or the friends (same diff right? LOL). Buy cerment coated housings and probably go OEM with the rest of the parts (unless you can put down for some ceramics!).

It is nice to do things yourself because then you know how well it is done. Only bad thing to doing it yourself is you can't really warranty your own work.

If you are going to have someone build you an engine stay local. I don't know what others expiriences are with Corksport or Pineapple but don't pass them up as an option.

 

Warrenty? Haven we learded there is no such thing as a warrenty in the otary business. Not just atkins, but i've heard the same **** from every rotary shop in existance...
