Note form the new Pres.

Well I'm not sure if everyone knows what happened at the last meeting or not so I will pass it on.

July 12th at 7:00PM at the Crossroads Jesse, Melody and I showed up at the INWR meeting, after waiting for half an hour for others to show up we decided to go ahead with the meeting.

1. First on the agenda was Elections. There were two of us there that had been nominated already and Jesse felt the need to help out, so this is what we decided.

  • Allen Ervin: President
  • Jesse Finch: Vise president
  • Melody Ervin: Secretary/Treasurer.

Due to the way things worked out at the meeting in the future if others think that there should be another election later then that would be fine. Due to the lack of officers in the club we decided that something needed to happen.

2. Next on the agenda are the Eastside's Drags, Yearly BBQ, Poker Run, and Valley Chapel Road drive "7/28 & 29" to which we encourage the westsider's to attend as they do us for there BIG BBQ.

At this point we are looking for a way to make this work without one set of people putting out all of the financial support for this event.

  • The first thing that comes to mind is a potluck style event which most of our picnics are anyway.

  • Next would be along the same lines but everyone would bring a bag of burgers (what ever size they come in at the stores), Bag of chips and a 12 pack of something to drink, people would be allowed to take one of the things off the list for every home made thing they bring e.g. Dip, Fried Chicken, Desserts etc. and anything left over would be added to a page on the inwr.org website for accountability and stored for the next event (with the obvious exception of home made stuff).

  • Third would be to send donations to a PayPal account for the purpose of funding events.

3. Since we are the hosts for the next Rotor Rally we need to start working out the details for next year's event.

  • New Venue or not.
  • If you have any ideas we are open for them.
  • If you have comments we are open for them too.

Here is a link to the inwr.org feedback page please use it to contact me for any reason you will also find my Phone # and email in my signature below. inwr.org/feedback.htm

Allen Ervin

Calm down Ashley. I'm pretty pleased with the election results. I'm really not interested in being the pres for another year, and I think the former vp shares the same feelings about her post. If everybody else wanted to vote, they really should have shown up. I think the votes would have gone the same if everyone would have been there. So, on that note, it's all good.

I called everyone for both meetings and no one showed. As I said in the above Note: Due to the way things worked out at the meeting in the future if others think that there should be another election later then that would be fine. Due to the lack of officers in the club we decided that something needed to happen.

If anyone has a problem then show up at the next meeting or the meetings goes on without you. I apologize if that sound rude but that is the way it is. The next meeting is August 8th (place to be announced).

If these gets people to meetings then my first act as President has been a success. This will be the first thing on the agenda for the next meeting so if you don't like the results, SHOW UP. And if the results are fine with you then showing up is just as important. That is how a club works.

I could rant for much longer on this subject but it would serve know one.

I agree with Bstrange99 as far as elections went. Allen showed/shows more interest, and was/is motivated much more than any other club member that I can think of. Jesse and Melody have made most of the meetings also. So the vote would have probably gone as it is now even if people showed. If people wanted to vote, then they should have showed up for that meeting.

This is a tough club to get motivated, or interested, maybe due to the lovely Spokane weather (too hot, too cold), the smaller amount of members in the area, and probably the lack of things to really do, unlike on the West side.

I know I lost interest after ABF, and I think Bstrange did also. I'm happy to not have any responsiblity. Maybe the new officers of the club can motivate people on this side more than bstrange and myself could, and get the INWR club where it should be.

I guess its no new news that we are moving back to the West side in a month or so. I just want to say that I will surely miss a couple people that we have had the pleasure getting to know. Brian you will always be part of my family.

INWR club- Good luck and maybe will see you on the West side for some of the annual events
