I hate you!! FLAKE!! LOL! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif
That really sucks. I wanted to watch. Is there any loop-holes to where we'd be able to come watch? |
By the SCCA's insurance, as long as all of the people ON THE EVENT SITE (pits, grid, course, staging, etc) have signed the waiver, then it is still a non-spectator event. To be sure, you should use some form of separating the event site, either yellow caution tape, or something similar, and make sure that any place that the "spectators" can be is both well out of the way of any vehicles and also a public area. Your other option with this being a non-spectator event is to have someone posted at the entrance to the lot, and have everyone sign waivers.
I've dealt with the SCCA insurance / spectator issues more than I care to think about. Over the last few years, I was assistant RE for 3 years and responsible for the insurance, as well as an SCCA SoloII Safety Steward for the last 4 years. Travis |
Thanks, but it goes beyond just the insurance. BTW, the insurance is not SCCA's. SCCA has nothing to do with this. I was just told that they abide by the same rules asI am being held to. The insurance is through BEAC. They are the group that is letting us use the site and they had informed me, in addition to the insurance, that I do not have the authority to invite people to the Boeing facility which is private property.
I had the waivers for people to sign. I was under the direct impression that this was covered last time I spoke with BEAC that spectators were welcome. There was going to be plenty of room for seperation. There is no place that people can stop to watch this in a public area. It was all set to go after I spoke with BEAC on Wednesday of last week. Why the change? I'm not 100% sure. I was told some reasons but I feel that there is more to it than what I was told. All in all, I'm quite upset about this. I am in no position to argue what I was told. It's their way or the highway on this. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png |
Well that kinda sucks, but at least the event is happening. Maybe my TII will be running by next time https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif you never know, lol.

Maybe mine too.

Damn, what's up with us? We all got broken turbo 7s. Must be a Seattle thing. lol! Maybe if we put all of our parts together, we could net 1 working car.
|
Maybe. Too bad it's not just a Seattle thing. This is the 2nd or 3rd time in three years than my car hasn't been able to be used on a daily basis. Last time it was a split stock oil cooler line. My injectors are f'ed up the goat ass. They're stuck open. I guess they could only take so much. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png But the engine keeps on going.
Once I can get two more 720cc inj. I'll replace all four 550cc stockers. Then it'll be back on the road (after some quality time getting tuned on the dyno at Intec). https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png |
So you are not going to be able to run in the Gymkhana? Or do you think it'll be fixed by then?
|
I'll probably be driving something else. Not sure what it'll be yet. Either a Porsche 914 or a S13 with a SR20DET swap.
