Click me!

I just posted the site to get some of the gymkhana videos that I told some of you about. They are from the Tokyo Sports Car Club event this past January at Yokoto AFB. Big thanks to Mike and Randy of TSCC for the vids/site.

See how small that lot is? The parking lot that I went to Everett to scope out is a bit larger. As in over 100X in area larger. Overall area is larger than the present lot used for autocross in Everett but is not good for autoX due to this enterance cutting through the middle of it. But for a gymkhana it's perfect. Well, there will be a gymkhana there. The event will be on 6/1 (that's a Sunday) but the other details have yet to be ironed out. Details such as prices, number of entrants allowed, who can enter in general, course map, and many other things. Right now is will only be open to TorqueSteerer members and members of BEAC. Yeah, yeah, yeah - I know that sucks. We are looking to expand this, but it will not be open to just anybody. At the most it'll be open to all members of clubs that fall under the WWSCC. Sorry about that, but we have to keep the numbers down. It will most likely not run smooth as silk being a brand new event. Many bugs to work out as soon as we figure out what they are (trial by fire). I don't want to have too many people show up and get all pissed off that they didn't get enough seattime for what they paid. However, if there is enough interest (i.e. - spectators taking pics and vids to spread on the internet afterwards) then it is EXTREMELY likely that this will expand to more events that will be open to anybody just as most autoX'es are.

When it does happen, please drop by and check it out. It'll be a lot of fun to watch everybody doing this for the first time.

You heard it here first. Exclusively on nopistons!

It looks pretty sweet are you going to lay out the same course just with more distance between each point or what?

Nahhhh. What I'll set up will be completely different. I've got a lot of space to work with. About 200' x 500' with only four light poles to worry about. It's going to be a very large course but nowhere near as technical as the ones on that site. It's going to be a fast couse, but with the size of the lot it'll still give plenty of seattime.

I'll have to get back to you all on this one. I just got back into town and checked my e-mail from over the weekend. I had a message telling me that some things might change and that I'll have to straighten some mis-communications up.

About the 18th? I'll try to show up. I don't know what my schedule looks like for racing.

Cool!

I ported my wastegate last week, put the car together over the weekend and am now only 7 psi without using my MBC. I still have got to **** with that I'd like to be running about 12 psi. But I need dry pavement to do that. You should yank that turbo off and port it too. You could have it off, apart, ported and back on in a day easily.
