what sucks about having to spend money to chase stock ECU issues is that by the time you have fixed one thing to have it keep killing another, then you finally find the source of the problem you would have spent enough money to possibly go standalone LOL. I wonder how much work it would actually be to convert to s4 electronics? I believe you would need the map sensor, ecu, throttle body, tps, and afm (also figuring out what wires would need to go where with the different ECU). Reason I mention that is you could probably find all that you need, pick up an rtek chip, and be good to go. Or possibly even go with the PnP megasquirt kits that are for sale on the other forum (I believe there is someone selling one for $450).
Hopefully you can find a good s5 TII afm soon and be done with any future problems. Sounds like you finally figured out how to stop the OMP from killing ECUs.
One more thing... Doesn't RE-Amemiya sell chipped ECUs for the s5 (is that what you got from Adrian)? I bet they would be just as expensive (possibly more) than a standalone though.

The ecu's two are stuck in limp mode, caused by a bad omp. #3 is currently in the car and running ok. #4 is the chipped one I bought from Adrian, It work for about a day and half, now it seems to only be powering up one primary injector driver. So I dont know what to think. Other than I have invested over 4 bills in just ecu's and now am I on my third electric omp. Gotta love the S-5's. Oh yea and I am on my 2nd afm and 2nd tps, 2nd clutch, 2nd rearend, also had the turbo rebuilt earlier this year. Just to note the rearend was by choice, a rearend setup to drag race, fails to dodge cones very well. It didn't fail, infact it worked almost too well. Lets continue, 2nd hood, 3rd set of seats, 2nd battery, 2nd water pump, 2nd afr gauage, 2nd gear shift ****, Oh yea 2nd used Apexi S-AFC, 2nd TMIC, 2nd IAT sendor, Want to buy a completey replaced car? Sorry just venting.
