engine class video is done!
#1
I gave a rotary engine class to a small group of rx7 club members in the fall of 2005 at my Mom's farm in Spokane Washington U.S.A. It was very informal, but should be informative to those enthusiasts who might want to rebuild their own engine someday. We taped the class in hopes of making a film for those in attendance, but the main tape turned up empty and blank. Something had gone wrong with the camera. On 16 March 2007 I was able to recover the missing film from the tape, and was able to complete the movie. The movie basically shows us assembling an early 13b Mazda rotary engine and discussing various issues during the build. We did not get into porting or checking clearances. This is just a video of the assembly of an old 13b 4 port in case anyone wants to see how it is done.
I have given out a few copies to the members that I could get ahold and I can make more as needed. I sent a few to seattle via Kettleman. If you want a copy, get ahold of one of us or make a copy for yourself.
If you attended the class pm me and will send you a copy. I don't have any intention of selling this. The class was free and the dvd is free unless things get crazy and we need a couple bucks for shipping and handling. I don't think this will happen though because I have uploaded the avi files to filefactory.com. There are 9 parts of aprox 250 mb each. They are not compressed so you can make a nice clear copy. If need to have broadband to get these. I have not tested out the links, so give me some feedback if something dosen't work so I can correct it. Once this is tested and good to go , go ahead and post some links to the other forums (if you think someone would want to see it)
Here are the links, I hope they work:

thanks to all that made this happen
PS I pm 2 of the moderators thinking this might step on the toes of those selling a professional dvd, but got no resonce. So rule number 1 applies: it's easier to ask forgiveness than get permission

If you want to make the whole file downloadable you can stick it on my server. Send me a PM
I din't think anyone has downloaded it yet so it might not be necessary. Last I checked only part 1 had
one download. But, who knows if the word gets out that might be a good idea. Some clown will probably
put it on ebay anyway. But feel free to do whatever if you think ifit is any good. copy, share, you-tube p2p
Lets embrace the digital age and let people have acess to it,, It was a nice event.
Just don't let Brian put his face on my body!

maybe some instructions will help.
1 click on the link to the filefactory file
2 scroll down to "Download for free with FileFactory Basic" and click on the link.
3 click skip advertisement or wait alittle bit
4 scroll down alittle bit
5 type in the verification code that is shown
6 it should bring up the download link now. click on "click here to
download this file" and save it to your desktop.
If it bumps you over to the signup page, try hitting the back button.
This is a free service, you don't need to sign up or pay anything.
You just have to put up with the advertising screens.
It is working for me on my other computer between 70 and 90 kb/sec.
That will take about an hour for each piece with my dsl.
