maybe you dropped a pack of smokes and it fell under the gas pedal. That could keep the pedal from being fully depressed. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Perhaps something to do with the secondaries not opening properly?

I know on alot of 1st gens people have them wired to open rather than (based on pressure to open)? ... not sure if its that, don't want to sound retarded, but I know on the 1st gen we used to have it was mechanically wired.

*shrugs*

no idea.

Just to let everone know that I'm not a big fan of rats nest removal,, It just causes drivability problems and headaches for those that do it and those that have to try to fix it. The car won't run right, won't pass emissions and won't start in the cold. That being said, you can put everything back and get it running right that way, or become an engineer and tinker with it for a couple months .. only to find out there was something wrong with the distributer. If you really gotta do this check for proper vac to the distributer(ported)(need to retain carb base plate) and make sure your secondarys have vacuum and are opening. On the 83 to 85 12a there is a hose that melts and gets a hole in it, and the shutter valves will fail causing the car to have idle problems or a squaking noise.Fix thos problems first if you have them. Removing the throttle position sensor causes the shutter valve to stick open. Ideally ,you should have your car running good before removing anything,OH, and save all the old parts.
