was wondering if it would be worth it to bring the enclosed car trailer to have a place to hang out if there is rain. this would only work if

1) parking is close enough to the center of activity

2) there is actual dead time when you are not in the car

3) anybody else wants to hang under cover

4)it is really gonna rain

looking for advice/opinions/ comments from those of you who have been there. i could load the bbq and we could use it for heat and or food!!!

JEB,michelle,chris, would this be worthwhile?

The school will be on rain or shine. If it's raining, it's a great time to work on the driving fundamentals and not worry too much about being fast. It will also teach you how to spin out

My advice is to bring a raincoat, extra pair of socks, etc. Also bring a tarp or rubbermaid container with a lid. Everything in your car will need to come out so you will want to put it somewhere where it will stay dry. I would advise removing your floor mats, all the stuff hanging from your review mirror and other miscelanious things you have in the car before the event and just bring the stuff you need. (make sure to check under your seats and also in the vents - I had a pen fly out of my defrost vent one time - could of got me in the eye). I will also be taking out the spare tire in mine.

When we aren't driving we will be working or talking about driving. There would probably be some sit-down time at lunch but that's about it.

Hope this is helpful.

M

That was so much fun, even getting soaked in the morning was worth it. i am finding it difficult to drive through the traffic circle in lacey without wanting to dorifto....oh well

Thanks JEB and Michelle for putting in the work so that we all could do that. (and michelle, i'd have to agree that the last half hour was the best!)

I'm glad you all had a good time. I did too. Thanks JEB for letting me drive the Miata, it was a hoot.

If you all have any feedback, please feel free to pm me your comments and we will use them to help us develop the next school in the fall.

I hope to see a bunch of you at the event this coming Sunday.

Adrian - I saw your tool bag in the trailer - if I'd known it was yours I would have grabbed it - Sorry. If you don't get it this week, let me know and I'll pick it up on Sunday.

Allan - I"m bringing you numbers tonight.
