How do you know if your Apex seals are blown, bad, disintigrated, or bad... whatever happens to apex seals to make the car worthless

You know what happens on a piston engine when a piston ring gives out, combined with valves getting really loose and not closing all the way? Imagine that, but add some major damage to the cylinders, and you're getting close.

lose and apex seal, and you're effectively losing 1/3 of your engine (2 rotor faces, of 6 on both rotors combined).
