OK STRANGE TRIED TO POST SOMETHING, IT DISAPPEARED..

I feel the need to express that I have been quite happy with the Atkins over the years. I have a street ported motor in my vert that the previous owner put in 40k+ ago stong and consistant.

Dan Personally built my Street/track GTUs motor to some specific stock specs but ready to be mutated later and while I payed alot for it I got my money's worth!

I do not know what happened and have purposely stayed out of the argument that has caused all the bad blood. I remain neutral on this and the Atkins and everyone in the club has respected that, thank you. I did feel it was only fair to say I have been happy. I almost bought a 20b for an airplane motor, (talk about trust) but found an awesome deal on a 0 timed radial w/matching prop I couldn't pass up. Dave respects that tho does rib me from time to time.

Don't want to **** anyone off but felt I should be straight up about my history. As consumers we have choices. Just be sure you are clear on what you want and plan to do, then be realistic about what it will cost.

oK one more post , as I don't recall anyone mentioned Jeff Clark in Puyallup.

He is an experienced builder and is particularly aware of what SCCA and IRDC rules allow for our cars. (in case that matters to you)

In Particular, he helped me purchase and put together my suspension kit which had to have the top of the Tocikos turned. We we realised that the company hadn't turned them down enough to fit the Ground control plates, he got it taken care of and has been a wealth of information in general. I am exceptionally happy with his skills and one could do well to do business with him, too. We are lucky that we have some talented and experienced Rotor nuts in our area. I am looking forward to catching up with Jeff on the track someday and showing him my tail lights! Need more seat time tho...

Speaking of Jeff, he should be at pacific this weekend for the IRDC races. Is anyone going? Sounds like there will be lots of cool cars there.

Sorry to post off topic a little

Pineapple is great, and will be expensive. They use few used parts and the best of everything so the engine is just right. The reason that there is a 6 to 8 week wait, is becuase they have such a long waiting list. They have a waiting list is becuase they are Nationally know. No one else around here will have a waiting list on an engine. No one else around here is like Pineapple.

That was not my experience:

First Engine: Used defective iron , didnt last 5000 miles(Gave them benefit of the doubt, let Rob build me a P-Port), warrenty honored

Transmission: Delivered with a whine/howl, warrenty honored; I havent run it yet to see if problem was corrected

Second Engine: P-Port. Sent to me with NO Oil Squirters installed in the E-Shaft. Rob did send me parts to replace, but I got tired of being shipped poorly assembled engines.

Pineapple rebuilds are questionable at best do a search and you will find many unhappy customers who paid big $ for half built, or "ported" engines that were not ported.....search and beware

same thing for Atkins and their "warranty"

your best bet is to go with MAZDATRIX , they are very known and reliable builders

me personally i dont trust many people with my car so me and a friend assembled it here! thats YOUR BEST OPTION because you will KNOW the car that goes into your engine to be assembled!
