Ditch out on the company trip. J/K

Dysthymia, you need to find a better job, one with the weekends off. :P
We're really shorthanded now, so I couldn't even take it off if I wanted to. Even if my boss hires a new person right away, they probably wouldn't be okay to work weekends for a month. :P

Besides, I just spent a bungload on brake parts, I still haven't heard from Oregon about my ticket, AND I need an oil change, so I guess getting the hours isn't that bad... ****, YES IT IS THAT BAD!!! I'm tired of being tied up all the time!

Did you get a speeding ticket? I have to go to court in sept. for mine. It should be easy to get dropped though, the cop paced me through 4 lanes of traffic to tell how fast I was going.

Yeah, its for speeding. I am doing a trial by affidavit since there is no way in hell that I'm driving all the way down to Roseburg to fight that crap. They still haven't told me what the verdict is, though. The cop in this situation was also pacing me (WTF?!) for what he claimed was "4 miles". However, he was at least a mile back in extremely hilly country in south-central Oregon on I-5. There's no way that he could have accurately paced me.

If your speeding was such a menace to society why did he let you do it for 4 miles... close to 4 minutes of "endagering" others. That is bullshit.

WORD, Phins! I should have put that in my testimony. The cop was a complete dick, too. He didn't even ask me how fast I was going, he was just like "YOU WERE GOING 82MPH, WAS THERE A REASON YOU WERE GOING THAT FAST?!?!"

My usual reply to that is please hurry up and write the ticket so I can cause the least inconvenience in your day.

That basically means shut **** up and write the ticket, but it is polite enough that they cannot say ****. The last ticket I got... which I am looking at the letter from the lawyer saying it was dismissed. The only thing I said to the officer was "thank you" when he handed me the ticket. Best bet is to nothing or as little as possible. If you are an ******* they will write the report, if you are cool, 9 out of 10 times they forget to write the report correctly.

Well I have to work on Saturday too so I can't make it. I will probably be working on my car after I get off work anyways. Too bad though, those would be good break-in miles :bigok:

Only going 82, I would of at least been doing 90 to get out of that ****** hole and I live in southern Oregon. All the cops down here are ****** when I used to have my mini truck they would park around the corner from my house and wait for me at least once a week to give me a ticket glad I grew up and got rid of that fricken thing. Besides the rx does so much better on the mountain passes down here.

Its funny you say that. I HAD been going waaaay faster at some points along the trip, but after the ticket I kept it on the straight and narrow... exceeeept when I was driving on Hwy. 20 in California. Those were some fun backroads when I wasn't being slowed down by some local jerk.
