Note:

Please drive with caution. I know that everyone wants to show off his or her cars, but I'd rather see everyone make it home safely. Please take the road conditions into mind, especially in and around Mount St. Helen's.

lets hope this helps everyone.

herz3mc 04-04-2007 10:44 PM

I'll be there. I'm hoping to pre-drive the route I have in mind towards the end of the month to make sure nothing washed away over the winter. It's going to be lots of twisty fun.

rmriggin 04-04-2007 11:08 PM

I should have the new volvo hopefully ready to drive by then. I will most likely meet at the rest stop (I am just off of exit 82).

jenkin 04-08-2007 08:27 AM

i will more than likely be moved back to yakima, but will pick you up at the wa12 intersection... maybe n the 3rd gen!!

ttt

Helios16v 04-09-2007 07:22 PM

I'd like to make this. We'll have to see if I got the new car up and running reliably by then. Working 7 10s at work now, so time for the RX is kinda limited. But, it'll give me some $$$ for new toys for the T2.

unleashed 04-10-2007 02:43 PM

i want to go if car is registered and has plates

Mabii 04-19-2007 01:49 AM

I wish I could be there for this but next year ill be there in the srt-4

RotarBeast 04-19-2007 09:02 PM

i will be there!

rmriggin 04-19-2007 11:06 PM

New Volvo is drivable but not quite ready yet. The Swedes make tough blocks but their wiring skills leave a lot to be desired. On a plus note the smoking and oil leaks are gone as of last weekends day in the shop. $300 car + $100 in parts. Can't complain at all.

Helios16v 05-07-2007 12:36 AM

Just a bump. The drive is coming up in just a couple of weeks.

Don't know if I'll have the T2 ready by then. If not, I need to decide between the drive and Springmeet with the dub, if you'll allow a lowly VW on the drive https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif .

duke><dub 05-08-2007 03:27 AM

are we going to do any sort of lunch or food at the top ?

lemme know if there is anything I can bring.

Nope I don't think that BBQ will be an option. We will be ending at an interpretive center and/or viewpoint. There will be places to get food but they are probably over an hour from our final destination point so we could all get together on the way back down. I'll be bringing a few snacks cos I get grumpy when I'm hungry https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.gif

Mabii 05-08-2007 09:31 PM

I wana be there damn it! Damn Korea damn it all to hell!!!

herz3mc 05-11-2007 10:05 PM

hal 05-15-2007 04:42 PM

i only wish that i had my car up and running so i could go this year, but it is looking like i wont have it working by then. and i get paid on that day from my job so i wont be able to have gas money or anything to get it going either. but u all have a great trip and day. i want to see lots of pics and vids from the trip.

Helios16v 05-16-2007 02:23 PM

My friend in the S4 backed out. He forgot this weekend is the ALMS race @ Miller Motorsports Park in Utah that he's driving down to. I'm still coming though. Can't wait!

rmriggin 05-18-2007 08:15 PM

I hope I get time tomorrow to tighten up the motor mount bolts that I forget to do when I dropped the pan. I also got to clean the power seat switch contacts so that I can get farther back from the wheel LOL! Bulbs all work now (even though not all lenses are there). I think tabs are current. Maybe if I got time I can even switch out the noisy blower motor so that I can use the defrost LOL!

woundup7 05-19-2007 12:13 PM

For those who are interested we'll be going back up hwy 7 for some more fun roads.

I was able to get one side motor mount bolt tightened down all the way but I didn't have the clearance to get to the other one while in the driveway. On top of that babysitting has basically fallen through so it looks like I wont be able to go. Even if I could somehow get the car in the air enough to take off the oil filter and tighten down that nut I still don't have a babysitter.

I will see what I can do (fingers crossed).

Helios16v 05-19-2007 11:09 PM

Which exit # is the 272nd park and ride at? I'm coming from bellingham, so need to try to plan my leave time.

Helios16v 05-19-2007 11:11 PM

nevermind, just opened my eyes. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

rmriggin 05-20-2007 12:20 AM

Looks like I will be missing this one. The babysitting plan fell through and no backups. Things are difficult and usually take months of planning when you got 4 kids in carseats LOL! Hopefully I will at least be able to make the Yakima BBQ next week.

Have fun tomorrow, hopefully the weather wont be horrible. Take lots of pictures and most of all BE SAFE!
