Red face

I'm trying to make sure everyone who may be interested has an opportunity to attend. I've been organizing drives on RX8club.com every month since June, and December is going to be a special one. You can find the originating thread in the NW section of the other forum, or the dedicated web page for the event at http://www.the-winding-road.com/grou...nw20061210.php

haha sounds great, jammerx7gsl and i used to organize rx7club drives in some of those areas a few years ago but attendance was weak so we ended up just doing a lot of scouting and driving ourselves.

If I remember right, you guys were real fond of last minute posts as you were headed out the door.

Actually, I'm not sure what happened with the 7 crew. Things were humming along great with regular meets and then, all of a sudden, we had a hard time attracting flies, let alone cars.

Hate to be rude but the website nor your post indicates a date for the drive, just a time.

Nevermind, I found it; the 10th of December. It's hiding pretty good though. hehe.

the first 5-6 we set up weeks in advance, then once it became just us(occasionally hornbm, when he wasnt rolling Fb's) we quit planning and just went to spur of the moment. it seemed like there was a large interest for the first few then i dunno, timing, gas prices, something caused a drop.

My experience has been that there tends be a lull when you've been doing things regularly for a while. You just have to keep it up. Let folks know and hope they show. It takes a while, but they usually pick back up. November was our smallest group, 3 driving, plus two who showed up at the west side meeting place to chat but couldn't participate for their own, quite good, reasons.

BTW, this meet is looking like a good one. Several 8's a couple Supras, maybe an STI and Corvette or two. No 7s, so far. Come on, the 7 boards (this and the other one) are where I got into the group drives, and none of you want to clog your arteries with greasy burgers and root beer.

Those are some great roads. Should be a fun drive. Not sure if we can make it yet, but will definately try.

So far we have eleven confirmed participants and four maybes. You can see the list on the drive page http://www.the-winding-road.com/grou...nw20061210.php. I've also made a couple minor updates so you can see the other top-level sections of the site. It definately took to long to code that list by hand, so I'll be making a concerted effort to get the "I'm in" button done this week so it's ready for the January drive.
