Well I got my fine quality roll bar and have full seat travel and rake for passenger and driver and kept my bins. The quality is excellent and it meets all NHRA specs, complete with steel plates etc. That's the good news.

The bad news is my driver's side door trim had to be butchered to fit the side bar - not enough room between the bulky interior trim and the bar if you want to leave someplace to sit, so it was just sliced off in places. It's fair to call it ugly as hell.

Anybody know a shop capable of cleaning up the recesses and/or fabricating interior door trim?

Depending on the weather I still plan on trying for Sunday AM.

Yeah it isnt going to be that bad.

If i can get the shitty ecu shutting off during driving problem fixed, i might actually run. When everything works right, the car pulls hard as hell!

My car was running so *** poor that night. I bled the clutch and it seems fine. Feels softer then before, but can launch on street tires fine. I dont know how it would hold up to the et streets.

Bobby, do you have electricity in Frederick? Bethesda is dark and may be dark for 7 damn days according to our good friends from Pepco & Baghdad Power Company.

ANd what about the clutch? What you described did not sound like a bad clutch. Was it fried?

Finally, what is the drill for Saturday night? I assume there is a test & tune but does the track have power and how wet are the fields?

Yes we never lost power here (at least i have not)

Ill run by the track tommarro morning or call up and see what the deal is.

If they run tommarro, there will be a test + tune lane open. There is a test + tune lane open at every event. I dont know if i will race, but my dad might take his SS up for a run.

As far as my clutch goes, i bled it and it seems a little better. I think the rpm's were so off when i shifted because my tires are so tall. Thoes tires are messing with my gear ratios alot. Perhaps ill have a run on street tires.

Im having a bigger problem though. Something i shorting out in my electrical system for a split second under WOT. not good. Im having some guys review my maps to make sure there isnt a nasty hole.

i'm gonna run by the track now. I guess yall dont have power, so its gonna be hard to read this

And i found my electrical gremlin. Bad grounds on the UIM, forgot to sand off the paint from the torque brace bracket. Not to mention the bolts have backed themselves 1/2 out. That was pretty suprising. So i polished the part that comes in contact with the ground using the good 'ole dremel and voila. Problem solved.
