Ryan,

Congratulations on your engagement and on your new job opportunity at PFS!

I'd like a chance to meet Kim! Dave is going to come over on Saturday to work on his engine parts I think; perhaps you'd like to come over for a while?

Best wishes Focker!

Hey Brian, I don't think I am gonna be able to get any carbide tips by Saturday unless I can find something local to DC. I cab always just buy 10 hardened bits. I am gonna try these...

Page 2438 in case it doesn't take you there directly. Or run search on "Carbide burs"

Hmm Rikki is thinking that my ported exhaust holes are gimme a hellava boost creep problem with my stock HT12's. What do you think? Won't a valve style boost controller keep this under control? I thought it was pretty straight forward. Is Rikki letting the Puntang afect his brain. Or is that something I should address?

Dave,

The bits I used are Tungsten Carbide... which I think (but I could be wrong) are different and harder than plain old "Carbide". The ones I used are Sears numbers:

00953104000

00953071000

We will make the best of what we've got between my extras and whatever you can dig up.

If you are worried about boost creep, the proper solution to try would be to port the wastegate. So bring your manifold too or your turbos.. I forget which part has the wastegate on a stock twins setup. Just bring the wastegate and we'll port it as much as we can to try to minimize boost creep. I honestly don't know if porting will 100% prevent it because I've never done it on a 93+ before. Do a search maybe. Anyhow, that's all we can really do, so we'll do it.

Port the wastegate and pay attention when I talk you drunk donkey!! To port the wastegate take the flapper and close it and trace around the edge of the flapper and bore it out a 1/16 BEFORE the outline and you are good as gold.

Dave you're going to get a grinding stone or two as well as a sandpaper bit thing right? If possible, pick one or two of the stones up and a few sandpaper thingies. I have some here we can use but I can't promise how fresh they are

Everyone else: I will try to make a "how to" port video for all to watch. Heh.

We will definitely make a video. I'm itching to use my new digi hi 8 sony cam.
