First step is a Denso competition fuel pump followed by a new Mazda leading coil & a check of my ignition system and grounds with a fine tooth comb.

I have a twin power so I figure a new factory coil is the easiest thing to do unless somebody here has a better idea.

My recollection is that when I put the twinpower on, it really woke the car up. Since most people don't report major changes, my suspicion is I have a weak coil that the twinpower amplifier helped to paper over.

I have some sort of a miss that happens at launch and occasionally when I throw the shift from 1st to second. Wierd. Maybe something is loose. I don't get high rpm breakup though. Of course I have not checked the price of a Mazda coil yet.

Then a serious clutch. I lost one in May and the replacement is not happy either. I need the real thing this time.

NaughtyFD, we be waitin'.

Perhaps get a 2 or 3 disc clutch?

Os Giken's are nice...

Driveable like a stock clutch, and holds whatever you throw at it...

Oh I am gonna bring it to you and Bobby this spring. I just need to beat that 11.60 you broke off at MIR!! Anyone know when Capital or 75/80 or MIR or Dixon open up?

I need a date to push myself while I am outside in the garage. It is too easy right now to say f*&k it I cant take her to the track anyway.

I am hoping for low 11's before the heads/cam swap that I am contemplating this winter.

I really want to get my suspension and tranny bullettproof with the spray before I do the heads/cam but I also want to hear that nasty LOPE that a big cam can deliever.

Also I need to switch out the 4:10 rear witha 3.90 anyone have an old FD auto rear laying around???

I have looked at the Giken & at the HKS twin plate & the McLeod & the sprung 6 puck from Clutchnet. Still working on it.

I'm also thinking about either a front mount IC, the Pettit large ( a really good buy nowadays) or sticking with my medium IC & adding water injection to use just for track runs at high boost.

Our cars are so sensitive to temps. Truth is nobody runs all that well until the temps drop.

Which reminds me, when Ryan (Rikki) ran his 11.7 it was a horrible Summer day at Atco, humid as hell and in the mid 90s. He had one fast car & a hell of a run.

And naughty FD, low 11s? Who did ya hire to drive for ya?

Why is the tranny out? What are you doing to it?

I had problems with the T56 so I had to pull it. Got a little something up my sleeve for you guys though. **** low 11's shouldnt be to hard. I figure 13.0 learning how to launching the car and street tires and having to shift into 5th around the 1000 ft so with some ET streets I will be in the low 12's then the giggle gas......put it this way there is a guy running less of a shot then me in a LS1 RX7that is running 11.4's so giddy up

Bobby hey no fair with the big single. I read another thread where you were trying to hook up the T78. I might have to step up to Heads and cam too.

Anyone know where I can score a automatic ring and pinion? I have to get rid of these 4.10's!!
