I have a requirement to have the car ready for an event that is the end of July. My motor should be here Thursday this week. I have the fuel system in, I will finish up the cooling system tonight, and I have the wiring all pulled I just need to terminate once I get the fan, water pump etc in the car.



HOPEFULLY, key word HOPE will have the car drivable by the end of this weekend.

i dont know, i have 1000 little things to do. Im going to try to start it tonight.

And the match race?

well, If the turbos were bolted on tonight then it would have been time to start it.



However, there are a few little things that kayo needs to tend to before the turbos can go on, one of the DP flanges is a little off. I also need to make a return line.



But tonight we primed the fuel system and cleaned up the wiring.



Tomorrow i'm going to wire the boost controller and do a couple of little things...



Im starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, I WANT to take my car to rotorfest running!

The blow by blow is interesting but I want to know the date of the MATCH RACE.

As soon as we are both ready we will line them up.

I broke down and ordered ss lines and fittings for the return, might as well do it right...



so they came in today, all i need is a few more fittings and then i'm ready to start her up!

My motor came today and it is fantabulous.



Silly and it makes me smile.



I was hoping to have it running this weekend but I dont have a gasket for the water pump, a fitting for the WP, the intake gaskets and a few other things. Oh well maybe next weekend

and here is my dilemma. The 90mm intake setup aint gonna clear the hood so I am going to have to do some sort of scoop. Any suggestions?

did you try gutting the hood at all?

I actually cut the bracing and lowered the subframe by about an 1/8" and I can close the hood.



I have an adapter a guy made on the way that will angle the TB to give me about 1/2" more clearance so I shouldnt have to cut the hood.

Awesome. I am waiting on some god damned fittings to come in before i can start my car, i need an adapter to hook up my oil feeds! My return fittings should be here tomorrow. I'm getting really excited about the car, she's almost done!!

Kayo is going to add bellows to the downpipe runners before the collector so it is easier to bolt up the diff. I dropped my car off there yesterday afternoon, he wants to have it out of his sight next friday. He also has to weld the o2 bung in there. I need to get a new seat as well, the ones i have are too wide and there isnt enough room to add tin between the seat and the shifter (the bottom lever of the shifter hits the seat in 3rd)



I dont quite know what i'm going to do about that. I think i'll sell both seats i have, buy one recaro that is 15cm narrower then the current seat, and run a stock passenger seat. They dont need no ******* race seat, they can hold on https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Hey Bobby one thing I wanted to ask is how close to the fenders are those 28" tires? My 26" are pretty close to the from lip when the suspension is unloaded , I cant remember how close the 28" are.

They fit with my lowered car, and my car is slammed. If you hit a bump hard they will bottom out in the tub, but it isnt bad at all. If i was going to keep them i was just going to raise the ride height a lil bit...

Ok no problem. I have mine lowered too but I can just stiffen them up if the rub on launch.
