Hey there everyone. The names Adam and I just recently purchaced an '86 FC that I'm trying to build up. I've never really spent much time with a wrench, but I'd like to learn. A friend and I are currently in the process of changing the header on the car followed by the apex GT single pipe system and a cold air intake. Any Suggestions on making the car preform better and increase the HP would be very helpful. As this is my first rotary owned, I have a lot to learn and look forward to speaking and gaining knowledge from you all.
As a first question I'd like to ask...is porting and polishing the only pay to increase he torque? And if not, what other ways can I increase the awful torque my car has. (after smoging the smog gear WILL be removed)

Turbo 2,
I'm located just north of LA...Newbury Park. I'll check out the forum and say hello. And a BBQ sounds great, although theres a slight problem with my coolant hose that I'll need to fix before I can take any kind of road trips. LOL.

Unlike a lot of the people that post on this forum, I plan on posting more then once. By the way, If theres anyone in the Ventura County area that wants to hang out let me know.
I'm also looking for some good mechanics that know Rotarys like others know pistons. I'ts hard to find a good mechanic that knows anything about rotarys. Hell...I went to my local mazda dealership and they said that they don't do the work on the rotary cars. WTF is that all about???
