Returning to the wankel! :)
Hey everyone!
Just thought I would drop in an introduce myself
Family has always been big on Mazda and when I was buying my first car I decided I wanted to go with something fun since I had put a good amount of money away for it. I was torn between a 83 FB, 944 Porch, and a 300zx.
In the end I decided on getting the FB since the rotary just sounded so different.
This is my 83 FB, her name was Sophia (good story behind it hehe)
After a year of good times I found a good deal on a 93 FD and decided to take the leap (worst mistake of my life). This car put me in a good amount of debt and every time I dumped money into it, something else just broke lol.
I had the FD for about 2 years and then someone decided to smash my window in and my heater core decided to blow as well as a few other things so I decided it was time to move on. At this point I thought about getting another FB or maybe a FC but found a good deal on a 90 Miata that came with a bunch of good parts so I could track it.
Only got to track it twice before taking it up to go snowboarding and busting my shoulder. Then on the way to the hospital the alternator died, and then the head gasket blew up and had to pay $500 for a tow back to my place.
At this point I was pretty broke and tho the Miata was a blast to drive I wasnt a big fan how the car looked stock and didnt have the money to make it the way I wanted it to. That leads me to my current car!
I currently own my first non-mazda vehicle. Its a 1970 Datsun 510.
Car runs really well after I fixed a few minor problems but because Im just getting back to work because of my shoulder im flat broke and at the point where I need a game plan to pay my debt off and get my *** back to school.
So here I am looking to find me a RX-3 project (something I have have been dreaming to own for quite some time). My plan is to sell the Datsun (sadly) and go find me a project that I can slowly work on and put some money away for school.
Im hoping to fix the body for the first year and make sure theres no rust (hoping to spend more time than money) and then move onto the rest
So if you know of any RX-3 or even RX-4 around BC lemme know
