Hello all,

my Name is Zach. i am a computer network engineer by trade but a eternal motorhead at heart.

i have owned several performance cars in my day including:

starquest turbo

1984 ra rx7 (never friggin ran right. carb went after 300 miles and damn thing never ram after rebuild)

supercharged aw11

fiero 2m4

04 wrx

06 sti

04 sti

i recent sold my 04 STI due due not wanting the 627 a month car payment and 250 a month insurance with a baby on the way. it was methanol injected and made 360 whp and 330 ft lbs. tuned by scott segal at top speed:

Super lame JDM pose?

i reason i bring all this up is: my rx7 is 50% of the power and is 85% of the fun my sti was! O.o

now i do know it has a "chip" but the owner couldnt remember what it as, the car is a na 13b has a 146k on it (no BS! clutch was only thing replaced!) it makes puzzlingly good power for a 1.3 liter normally aspirated engine. i was going to give up on rx7's after my RA but i must say. this thing pulls even with having a 150k, but i guess with rotaries you make all or half your power right? (lol)

only have one picture of it. previous owner put z28 hoodscoop on it but i am unsure of its future

Needless to say i am now hooked on rotaries. the car is a swiss army knife. good mileage, good performance, massive fun factor!

I look forward to being a part of this community.

Yeah, that's a common problem, could be one of several potential causes. Search or post in the 2nd gen forum, you should find some answers there.
