well Im new and Im looking for a 2nd gen rx7 just to get my by for now, I am into tuning cars but I dont know much about rotarys, is there anything I should watch out for??

As with any car, get the compression checked on your soon-to-be new rotary. Mazda has a special compression tester for rotaries, since the traditional method can provide questionable results.
