I've got a 1985 GS 5 Speed, Light blue with white and blue interior, and I'm leaking oil like a sieve. I've priced a 13bt from a buddy of mine for 1500 shipped, but I also have a 406 (383 stroker that's been bored) with tranny that I have in an el camino.

I'm basically looking for anyone near the Little Rock Arkansas area that could either assist me in the swap, or even do it in exchange for monies! I do have a steady flow of cash, so money isn't an object, but I haven't been able to find a shop in my area that I am comfortable with, and figured you guys would know more about it.

I did put a 454 in a '79 RX7, but it was a long time ago, with the help of my girlfriend ( at the time) and her dad, and since joining the military I don't have any of the tools I used to, and only a two car garage for space.

I do however, have a 1989 Subaru XT6 that I could throw in if someone wanted that, or just pay straight up cash. I'd like to have it done as soon as possible, as I'm running low on drivable cars, I'm reduced to driving the minivan and that just sucks eggs.

PM me preferably, but I'll check in periodically throughout the day.

Even if you have an old 12A sitting around, it really doesn't matter to me. I just want to get the car on the road, and am trying to possibly trade around some resources to make it happen. I also have an 82 complete car with three extra trannies just sitting around with two really good seats and a great body on it if someone wants that.

I've had about 5 or 6 7's in the past, mostly first gens but I've had one GSL and a Turbo II, all in all I'd say I like the first gens the best. '79 was the easiest to work on, the other 85 I had there was a small bar around the end of the clutch pedal which made changing the master and slave cylinders a bitch, the 79 didn't have it, it was a piece of cake. Plus changing the starter on it is something I've had to do on almost every 7 I've owned, so I got good at that.

Look forward to having a good running car again, and good meeting everyone!
