Hi all,

I am getting my Rx7 in about an hour or so. Its a 1985 GSL with 138k, went to look at it on Sun and its in prestine shape. The engine fires right up with no smell from exhaust and idles smoothly. No rust underneath, interior in great shape, engine bay clean, it just needs the carb cleaned up and adjusted and a power steering belt and shes all set. I never owned one before, but always had an eye for them when I was younger. My friend whos owned and maintained these cars before is gonna get it all up to snuff for me. The only other thing that would make the car complete would be a new paint job or clear coat. I will proabably do that next spring. I cant wait to get it out there and go cruising on nice curvy country back roads.

That is a beautiful car. Are you considering modifying it?

Hi there,

thanks for the welcome I got my car and registered it and went to get it inspected and they said it needs a drivers front wheel bearing and an idler arm to pass. So I will get that done tommorrow. Everything else looks alright. I am gonna keep it as is right now. It has a performance exhaust on it. My friend is gonna get the carb all tuned up for me and adjust the linkage and get the secondaries working again. I guess the primaries are only kicking in now. I wanted to know what kind of tranny and rear end fluid I should use? I am going thru it and changing all the fluids. Hopefully by the end of this weekend the car will be right where it should be mechanical wise.
