I am getting ready to buy a 2009 RX-8 with almost 92K on the clock. It is fairly clean with a very nice interior and just a few cases of "Hanger Rash" but no accidents.

Is the 100K warranty transferable to second and third owners?

What should I look for to see if the engine is in good shape?

I notice that even after warming up it still idles with a bit of a vibration. Is this just because its a high power engine or just because its a Wankel? Its not bad, but I notice it when I look in the rear view mirror and see the vibration in the reflection.

Is 92K too much for a used RX-8? the price is about $12K

You a member of rx8club.com? Just curious ... 2009 with 92k .. That's alot of miles .. Mine is an 04 and I am just now getting over 90k ... 12k seems a bit steep for what they are offering, with so many miles on it. Id suggest you head over to the classified sections of this forum and rx8 club to find a better deal... There is a guy selling a clean boosted 8 for about 8k.. Has all the Bells and whistles for 4k less.. If you insist on purchasing this one, go for a compression test. At the dealership it cost about $120. That will tell you your engine health .. I still think its too much..

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I will check out that other site you mentioned, rx8club.com

Thanks for the comments.

I like this car because my wife ALSO likes it and she thinks her little old lady friends will have an easier time getting into the back seat.

I went to the RX8Club.com and received a "warm welcome" so I came running back here with my tail between my legs.
